Fall happenings in Texas

My family and I were all screaming YIPPIE last Sunday.  Cooler weather blew through and our temps hovered in the mid to high 70's.  That's big stuff for this Texas family.  We did the only thing we knew to do and spent the afternoon outside.  My kids laughed at me because I even threw on a long sleeve shirt.  Hey, I take it when I can get it!

Barry and Luke had a blast playing front yard football. Luke could have played all day, but Barry had something else in mind for the two of them to do....
Luke didn't complain, he will do anything to be like his daddy.  I love that about little boys.  No matter what, they look to their dads like they are superheros.  That's a huge responsibility, but one that is well worth it.
Can you see the brown leaves on this tree?  At first I thought the tree was about to be a goner, but then I remembered...oh, yeah!  It's fall.  I did a happy dance.  Man, I hope none of the neighbors saw.  My kids would kill me for sure.  :-)

I began decorating my house for fall.  This is my very favorite time of year.  Our family seems to spend more time together playing outside, laughing, and making memories.  These are days I wouldn't trade for all of the Starbucks coffee in the world!

I just love these pictures of my kiddos.  I don't have any to share of Jorden today.  Being a teenager, he is not home as often as the others.
Our temps are back near the 90's, but we have been promised another cool Sunday.  If you hear hoopin and hollerin don't worry, it's just us Texas folks living it up!!
