Thanks to Jesus

Jesus promises that He will never leave us or forsake us.  I am so thankful for this.  My heart and my head cannot make sense of what happened on Friday in Newtown, CT.  Such evil is incomprehensible.  I have heard questions ranging from what happened in the killer's home all the way to how God would allow this.  I know without a doubt that I serve a loving God who doesn't have a shred of evil in Him.  He is love and cannot stop Himself from being crazy about His children.  Unfortunately, we live in a world where evil, at times, is glamorized.  Movies, TV shows, video games, and books make light of it and use it for entertainment purposes.  With that being said, I am not pointing fingers at any facet, I'm just stating facts.

My heart aches for those precious children, staff members, responders, and families.  Jesus loves little children and cares for them greatly.  I have to believe that He was right there with them during this senseless tragedy.  I have to believe He comforted them and made Himself visible to them during the shootings.

I am a person who cannot help but love on people in times of need.  My instinct is to take someone in my arms and let them know they are not alone.  I wish I could be there to love on those hurting families.  I cannot.  However, I will pray for them numerous times throughout the coming days, weeks, months, and years.

As my children left for school today, I hugged them each a little tighter.  I wish I could put them in a bubble and protect them from any and all evil.  As I was thinking upon this, I realized they are in a bubble.  They are in the bubble of Jesus.  That has to be enough for me.  I have to realize that my children are His and He loves them greatly and deeply.  As hard as it is to fathom, I have to know that whatever happens in their lives, they are forever bonded to their Lord and Savior.

My love to all of you.  May you feel the comfort of Jesus as we mourn for the Newtown community.
